In his new role, McAuliffe will be responsible for the derivatives business activities of BNY Mellon Global Markets.

McAuliffe began his service with BNY Mellon’s derivatives team in 1987 following completion of MBA studies at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

In 2004, he was assigned to London as head of derivatives and foreign exchange sales for EMEA. In 2009, his responsibilities were expanded to include Asia-Pacific.

BNY Mellon CEO of Global Markets Art Certosimo said derivatives are indispensable to many of the product and service innovations we’re developing as part of the firm’s strategic emphasis on providing BNY Mellon’s full range of capabilities to its clients.

"This is the perfect time to have an accomplished leader with Jim’s global experience and extensive product expertise at the helm of our derivatives business. He’s sure to play a key leadership role as we continue to build on our strengths in this important area during the post-Dodd-Frank era," Certosimo said.
