Williams will report to BNY Mellon global client management head Jim Palermo and will continue in his existing role as head of Developing Markets Client Management.

Jim Palermo said that Bill will ensure that the firm continues to support the future growth of its clients’ businesses and own strategic goals in the region.

Kablawi will report to BNY Mellon Asset Servicing CEO Tim Keaney.

Prior to the new role, he was head of client management for EMEA and also served as Chairman of the MEA region for four years.

Tarek Elrefai will continue as BNY Mellon’s senior executive officer for branch located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and also retains his role as head of client management for the MEA region, based in Dubai.

He is responsible for country management and franchise clients across the Middle East & Africa.

Elrefai will report to Williams, and his responsibilities include leading the BNY Mellon team within the region and implementing the company’s regional strategic growth plans, ensuring business activities operating out of the Dubai branch are in accordance with Dubai Financial Services Authority regulatory requirements and other relevant international legislation.
