Speciale will spearhead the development and management of the company’s APAC institutional sales strategy, client relationship management and consultant engagement in the region.

In this new role, he will concentrate on boosting the existing and building new partnerships with institutional investors such as sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and insurance companies.

Reporting to BNY Mellon’s APAC investment management business CEO Alan Harden and global distribution for investment management head PeterPaul Pardi-based in London, Speciale will oversee the business from Singapore.

Furthermore, he will join BNY Mellon’s APAC Investment management executive committee and BNY Mellon’s APAC operating committee.

With 25 years of financial expertise, Speciale joins BNY Mellon from Capital International where he was acting as senior vice president, head of sales and client service, Asia-Pacific excluding Japan, based in Singapore.

Operating in 36 countries and more than 100 markets, BNY Mellon had $26.3trn in assets under custody and/or administration, and $1.4trn in assets under management, as of 31 March 2013.
