BNP Paribas Egypt has opened a new branch in Damietta, as part of its expansion plan to cover different areas in the governorates of Egypt and provide various products and services for a broad range of customers. With this the total number of branches in the region reaches to 56.

The new Damietta branch provides services to individuals, institutions and small to medium sized companies, in addition to providing many services such as account inquiries, performing transactions and cash withdrawals.

Philippe Joannier, head of territory and MD of BNP Paribas-Egypt, said: “The bank is moving ahead with its plans for organic growth without relying on any acquisitions or mergers. Indeed, we have opened 12 new branches in 2009 to meet the needs of our clients in a wide range of areas including Asyut, Shubra, Mirage, Al Azhar, Cairo Airport, Zamalek, Mahalla, Al Minya, Roushdy & Sporting in Alexandria and our most recent branch in Damietta.”
