FCF is a factoring company, with a commercial network in 12 countries in Europe and Asia.
The acquired part of FCF network, in Belgium and other countries, will join BNP Paribas Factoring Network, which after this acquisition will serve BNP Paribas’ corporate clients in 13 European and Asian countries.
The Dutch part of FCF will remain with ABN AMRO and will be integrated into its factoring business, ABN AMRO Commercial Finance.
The Dutch banking group said the sale will enable it to reinforce its focus on its core countries Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK.
ABN AMRO and BNP Paribas have entered into an agreement to enable continued services to the multilocal clients.
BNP Paribas Fortis offers financial services for private individuals, the self-employed, professionals, SMEs and public organizations in Belgian market.
In the insurance sector, BNP Paribas Fortis works closely with Belgian market leader AG Insurance.
The bank also provides wealthy individuals, corporations and public and financial institutions with custom solutions for which it can draw on BNP Paribas’ know-how and international network.
