Designed to offer improved banking experience through numerous financial services and conveniences, the full-service banking branch will operate beyond normal banking hours, including weekends, claims the bank.

BMO Bank of Montreal Northern Alberta commercial banking vice president Lynda Taylor said that the new branch will act as the service centre for northern Alberta, where billions in major capital projects are planned over the coming years.

In a bid to ensure hassle free banking, the bank has equipped the office with a coin counter, which is a simple-to-use kiosk to count customers’ loose change, and has facilitated the services in four different languages.

It also provides access to commercial account and deposit services, including a 24 hour depository for small business after-hours use and two ATMs that includes a facility enabling customers to carry out transactions even when remaining in their vehicle.

Founded in 1817 as Bank of Montreal, BMO Financial Group provides personal and commercial banking, wealth management and investment banking products and services and has total assets of $542bn as at 31 January 2013, with over 46,000 staff.
