Leasure and Gorman will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the existing group of professionals in New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
They will report to Perry Hoffmeister, head of US Investment and Corporate Banking (I&CB).
Leasure has led BMO’s Financial Sponsors Group since 2009.
Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets in 2002, he spent eight years with Goldman Sachs working with financial sponsors in their Leveraged Finance Group, including two years leading that group’s efforts with financial sponsors in London.
Gorman previously worked for 12 years at Lehman Brothers where he was a managing director.
Hoffmeister said as the financial markets continue to recover, financial sponsor clients are becoming an increasingly active and important client group.
"Bringing more resources and capabilities to our existing team allows us to continue our strategy of growing our overall capital markets businesses in the US,"Hoffmeister said.
