The new division will be led by managing director Stephannie Mower, who has joined the firm as national head of Investment Client Services.

Headquartered in Dallas, the Investment Client Services team has added seven seasoned professionals to provide investment sales expertise to initiate this national platform.

Berkadia CEO Hugh Frater said the new Investment Client Services division positions Berkadia to more thoroughly meet the needs of its existing clients, as well as to develop new relationships in the national commercial real estate market.

"The new division will operate independently from Berkadia’s servicing and loan origination businesses," Frater said.

Berkadia has introduced several significant growth initiatives in recent months, including a proprietary lending program for originating fixed-rate loans for inclusion in the new generation of commercial mortgage-backed securities.

Additionally, in March, the firm announced a new program to provide floating-rate bridge loans.
