Following the systems roll out, Wincor Nixdorf will also take responsibility for their maintenance.

Wincor said that these new systems will enable Poste Italiane to offer additional functionalities such as scanning and paying of invoices, including the traditional cash withdrawals.

Furthermore, the systems will ensure that cash withdrawals can be handled securely, since they are equipped with anti-skimming modules that prevent card data from being read and stolen

As emphasized by the Poste Italiane, the ATMs will print the documents on both sides of the paper, and they will switch to standby mode to reduce power consumption.

With 14,000 branches, 6,000 ATMs and 600 transaction terminals, Poste Italiane provides its customers both with classical postal services and a range of financial services.

Wincor Nixdorf Italy head of banking division Federica Brambilla said that this order strengthens and revives the ten-year partnership with Italy’s leading postal and financial service provider.
