Diebold said all ATMs that are part of the agreement will run on Diebold Agilis software. The deployment of the software will continue during the next few months and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2011.

The ATM models to be deployed by the Diebold inlcude Opteva 760, 720, 562 and 522.

According to the Diebold, the Opteva ATMs features include deposit automation, advertising and other advanced banking transactions, such as printing on passbooks to record consumers’ transactions, which are closer to a branch experience.

Banco Santander and Diebold are also currently working together in other countries such as Mexico, Brazil and the US.
