Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays, has appointed Matthew Ginsburg as managing director and head of investment banking, Asia Pacific.
Mr. Ginsburg will be responsible for the management of the firm’s investment banking activities across Asia Pacific. He will be a member of the Barclays Capital Asia Pacific executive committee and of the investment banking division executive committee. He will be based in Hong Kong and will report regionally to Robert Morrice, chairman and chief executive, Asia Pacific, Barclays and globally to Hugh (Skip) McGee III, head of investment banking.
Mr Ginsburg joined Morgan Stanley in 1996 in Asia and has held various positions at the firm including: head of Asia Pacific FIG, investment banking operations officer, and head of M&A Asia Pacific.
Robert Morrice, chairman and chief executive, Asia Pacific, Barclays, said: “Mr Ginsburg has a tremendous track record in running successful businesses and has significant regional experience having worked in Asia Pacific for more than 20 years.
