In his role, Gupta will be responsible for building the trade and working capital business in India throughout all client segments including financial institutions and multinational corporates.
Gupta joins Barclays from HSBC Singapore where he led its business development team.
Prior to HSBC, Gupta headed the trade finance business for the Indian sub-continent at JP Morgan and was previously with Deutsche Bank as head of trade for Indonesia.
