In this role, Scudellari will lead cross-product coverage for Canadian clients.
He will be based in New York and Toronto and will report to Joe McGrath, head of leveraged finance.
Scudellari will also work closely with Bruce Rothney, president and country head for Canada.
Rothney said that with over two decades of investment banking experience, which expands across products and industries, Dave will be of tremendous value as the bank continue to build its business in Canada and meet the sophisticated needs of clients in the region.
Scudellari will join Barclays Capital from North West Upgrading, where he was the senior vice president and CFO.
Prior to North West, he was a managing director at Barclays Capital from 2006 to 2009, where he was head of industrials in leveraged finance and president of Barclays Corporation.
Prior to his appointment at Barclays Capital, Scudellari spent 23 years at Goldman Sachs, where he assumed various senior roles in credit, leverage finance and debt capital markets.
