Both John and Joe succeed Larry Wieseneck who was appointed chief strategy officer and will report to Hugh McGee, head of Global Investment Banking, said Barclays.

McGee said John and Joe bring extensive and diverse capital markets experience as well as proven leadership skills to the position.

"I am confident that under their management our clients will continue to benefit from our integrated approach to client coverage and that our GF&RS business will continue growing and gaining market share," McGee added.

Since 2011, Langley has worked as head of global risk solutions and was previously co-head of the risk solutions business in EMEA.

With over 20 years of expertise in rates and FX derivatives, Langley joined Barclays in 2006 from Merrill Lynch and held several senior positions such as global head of currency options trading, head of risk advisory group and co-head of corporate risk management.

In 2006, McGrath joined Barclays to pilot the Americas Leveraged Finance business, and since 2010 he has been head of Global Leveraged Finance.

McGrath has more than 20 years of experience in leveraged finance and leveraged capital markets and prior to joining Barclays, McGrath seized several leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, including head of Credit Syndicate, head of US High Yield Capital Markets and head of US High Yield Sales.

Barclays dedicated global finance and risk solutions group caters finance and risk solutions product teams, such as equity capital markets, debt capital markets, leverage finance, loans and risk solutions.
