Having more than 25 years of banking industry experience, he will also be responsible for the management of operations, technology, customer service and quality management.
Wright also joins the global Barclaycard COO executive committee and the Barclaycard US executive committee.
He will jointly report to Barclaycard US chief executive Amer Sajed based in Wilmington, Delaware and Barclaycard’s global chief operating officer Ian Buchanan, based in London.
Before joining the Barclaycard US, he has been the founder of an advisory firm Tuyet Consulting, which helped financial organizations to maximize operational resources more efficiently.
Prior to Tuyet Consulting, he worked as the president and chief executive officer of Wincor Nixdorf, which provides ATM and retail point-of-sale hardware and software.
Wright worked with JP Morgan Chase in a variety of leadership roles in retail banking, information technology, e-commerce, service center management, control and audit for 17 years, before joining Wincor Nixdorf.
Headquartered in Wilmington, Barclaycard US employs 1,300 associates and develops customized, co-branded credit card programs for a variety of organizations.
