Cologne is one of Germany’s major business centers and Cologne is the gateway to the industrial region of North Rhine Westphalia.

Sarasin, which received a full banking license in 2008, opened its last office in Germany in Nuremberg in October 2009.

Eric Sarasin, chairman of the supervisory board of Bank Sarasin AG and head of the Private Banking division at Bank Sarasin & Co said the opening of a new branch in Germany highlights their commitment to pursuing steady growth.

"Germany – along with Switzerland – is the most important private banking market for the Sarasin Group. We are proud of what we have already achieved here in the past few years and are keen to continue this growth course in the next two years," Sarasin said.
