Prior to joining the bank, Farhadi was working with BNP Paribas, where he served as a senior marketer and structurer on the Global Trade Solutions supply chain management team in Paris since 2006.

He had assisted in optimization of working capital for BNP Paribas’ corporate clients with facilities that enable firms to manage receivables, payables and inventory.

During 2001 to 2006, Farhadi acted as a senior trade manager in charge of BNP Paribas’ Trade Center in San Francisco, where he assisted offering trade finance solutions to engineering procurement and construction companies and large technology firms.

He joined the French lender in 1999 and prior to that Farhadi worked in the US banking industry, in trade finance, mortgage banking, and branch management.

Established in 1874, the bank manages $63bn in assets and delivers numerous personal, commercial, wealth management and international banking services.

Operating as a subsidiary of BNP Paribas, Bank of the West manages over 700 retail and commercial banking branches in 19 Western and Midwestern states.
