Deignan will be responsible for equity and equity-linked capital markets, syndicate and corporate equity derivative activities in the region. She is expected to rejoin the firm in August.
Based in New York, she will report to Dan Cummings, head of global equity capital markets.
Prior to joining the company, Deignan spent seven years at UBS where she served as head of Americas equity capital markets since 2007. Before that, she spent 11 years at Merrill Lynch where she had roles in equity capital markets, syndicate and institutional sales.
