In his new roll, Mr Cockrell will provide business, civic and philanthropic leadership for Bank of America throughout Michigan. The bank has also appointed Scott Stearsman as region manager for greater Michigan/Indiana region. Previously, Mr Stearsman was consumer market executive for Bank of America in Charlotte. He joined Bank of America in 1998.
In another move, Daniel Terpsma, a Michigan commercial banker, will be the middle market and business banking market executive in Michigan. Mr Terpsma has joined LaSalle Bank in 2001 and most recently served as head of commercial banking and community banking for LaSalle Bank’s west Michigan region.
Also named was John Irwin, the executive in charge of US Trust/Bank of America private wealth management for Michigan. Mr Irwin, who will be based in Troy, headed up Michigan wealth management for LaSalle Bank since 2002.
