Ghai, who will join Baird from corporate finance adviser Hawkpoint, will work alongside Nick Sealy, managing director, and support Baird’s global M&A advisory practice, leveraging his experience and relationships in the consumer and industrial sectors.

Ghai spent eight years in the Hawkpoint Corporate advisory team with experience in consumer, services, leisure, healthcare and industrials.

Prior to Hawkpoint, Ghai was vice president, European M&A, at Goldman Sachs (1999-2002) and earlier senior associate, European M&A, at Deutsche Bank (1996-1999).

Baird chairman of European Investment Banking team John Fordham said that Vinay’s knowledge of the European M&A landscape, across a number of sectors, will be invaluable as Baird continue to expand the coverage.

Baird has offices in the US, Europe and Asia, with over 2,600 associates serving the needs of individual, corporate, institutional and municipal clients. Baird oversees and manages client assets of nearly $82bn.
