The license will allow Aviva Investors to open its own subsidiary and offer a broad range of products to local distributors and clients in the Island country.

Aviva, which entered the Taiwan market in 2008, has two segregated mandates, global high yield and emerging market bonds, and 13 registered SICAV funds in Taiwan.

According to Reuters, the firm hopes the Asia-Pacific region to contribute $20-25bn in funds under management in five years.

Recently, Aviva Investors also received its capital markets services license in fund management for Singapore.
