In January 2006, Mordell joined the board of Avidbank and was appointed chairman in February 2007.
The bank has also named Bryan Polster as lead independent director, who will supervise meetings of the non-executive board members including the performance review of the chairman and CEO.
According to the bank, Kenneth Brenner will continue as president of Avidbank.
Polster said that Ken Brenner has been and continues to be an integral part of building the current team, recruiting and retaining some of the top bankers in the area.
Avidbank concentrates its businesses to the commercial and industrial, corporate finance, technology and asset-based lending, real estate construction, commercial real estate lending and real estate bridge financing.
