With this move, UnionPay card holders can withdraw cash in Australian dollars and perform balance inquiry on all the ATMs posted with UnionPay, CashCard, CashConnect and Travelex logo and all the ATMs of National Australia Bank (NAB) .
The move means that China UnionPay has expanded the usage of its cards to approximately 40% of ATMs and to over 70,000 merchants across the Australia.
In recent year, UnionPay realized use of UnionPay card at ATMs and POS in Australia through the partnership with National Australia Bank and CashCard, an ATM network operator in Australia.
According to the UnionPay, the points for using UnionPay card in Australia will mainly distribute in Sydney and Melbourne and cities that Chinese tourists often visit.
