Honk Kong-based AsiaPay, a provider of electronic payment service and technology, has entered into a co-operation agreement with ChinaPay to enable AsiaPay’s merchants in Asia to readily collect online real-time payment from Chinese consumers.

This co-operation also facilitates online consumers in China to purchase goods and services of merchants in Asia in their own currency using their payment accounts in China, said AsiaPay.

Upon AsiaPay’s merchant selecting ChinaPay online service, merchants can readily enjoy real-time payment authorisation service of the China UnionPay (CUP) card, as well as the local payment settlement and various integrated reporting as well as fraud monitoring facilities, according to AsiaPay. And the service supports four processing settlement currencies — Honk Kong dollar, US dollar, euro and Japanese yen.
