The new card is available on the ANZ Business Classic, Business Extra and Negotiator accounts and will replace the current ANZ Access card for eligible customers.

ANZ Business Visa Debit card customers can make purchases online, over the phone, over the counter and access money via ATMs both in Australia and overseas. Customers can also link the card to their business accounts.

The new card provides control of their business spending, as funds are accessed from the transaction account instead of using credit; an uncomplicated way of paying for business expenses without interest charges, additional card fees or monthly bills; offers ease of tracking expenses, as business and personal accounts are separate which also simplifies reporting at tax time; and the ability to view outstanding authorisations via ANZ internet banking, ANZ phone banking and ANZ mobile phone banking, helping business owners better manage their cash flow.

The card also offers several forms of security through ANZ Falcon fraud monitoring, ANZ fraud money back guarantee, Visa’s zero liability policy and verified by Visa protection.

Nick Reade, general manager for small business at ANZ, said: “It’s terrific to be able to take the success of Visa debit and deliver this for business customers. Many business owners want to use their own money to make purchases, and now that is possible at no extra cost. The added security of ANZ Falcon is of particular benefit to our business customers who are increasingly using electronic banking and purchasing channels.”
