Using the new mobile web or text banking application, all Access Online banking registered customers can check available balances, transfer funds between accounts, and pay bills.

Alliance Bank CEO V Philip Reim said, "Our new Mobile Banking service provides our customers with the added flexibility of managing their banking activity from a variety of mobile devices."

Around 37% of community banks currently offer mobile banking services, representing more than double the 15% in 2010, according to a recent study conducted by Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA).

Another 44% community banks are planning to introduce the services by 2014.

Having over $590m in assets, Alliance Bank offers commercial, agricultural, private and personal banking services through 10 locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
