The new agreement builds on the successful collaboration between the two parties, which began when Alior Bank was established in 2008.
Under the agreement, First Data will continue to provide card personalization and issuing services, manage the bank’s card database and perform transaction authorizations and settlement.
In addition, First Data will implement its Proactive Risk Manager fraud management system to meet the bank’s demand for effective fraud management.
First Data claims that the Proactive Risk Manager identifies and alerts financial institutions to card transaction irregularities helping them to prevent fraudulent transactions and offer their credit card customers increased security.
Alior Bank director of card centers Artur Owsianka said the expansion and extension of their agreement with First Data for another five years will give Alior Bank access to the latest technology and security services for their customers.
