Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and Visa have enetered into a a strategic partnership to extend the bank’s debit card offerings to its customers in the UAE, reported Khaleej Times.
In a joint statement both the fims had stated that the partnership will facilitate a range of joint business plans and will provide ADIB with extended promotions for up to five years.
As part of the alliance, Visa is expected to help ADIB to further bolster its cards portfolio and enhance customers’ experiences by improving usage capabilities. This includes access across all Visa products and segments, as well as ongoing flexibility, convenience and security that Visa ?products offer.
Sarvesh Sarup, head of retail banking group at ADIB, said: “We are looking forward to working closely with them, in order to bring the best offerings, services and card products, not only to our customers but to the market as a whole.”
Kamran Siddiqi, GM for GCC, Levant, Iraq and Pakistan at Visa, said: “The signing of the ADIB Debit deal is an important step for Visa in growing our debit card capabilities in the UAE and bringing the associated debit card advantages to UAE customers through ADIB,” reported the website.
