The newly opened Monterey office will provide business and personal banking services, commercial and SBA government guaranteed lending, cash management services, automated teller, and a merchant night depository.

1st Capital Bank President and chief executive officer Fred Rowden said the Monterey Peninsula is a very important market for the company and it made good business sense to expand its banking capabilities in this community.

"Our commercial lending group, in addition to the Bank’s Regional President, Clay Larson, will be based in our new Monterey location," added Rowden.

The bank’s regional president Clay Larson said the new Monterey branch allows the company to provide its clients with competitive banking services in a convenient downtown location.

Services provided by the bank include lending, deposit and highly efficient cash management services including remote deposit and online banking to small-to-medium size businesses and their owners as well as specialised banking services for the healthcare industry.
