March Networks announces innovative HD analogue capability in industry-leading video recording solution

March Networks®, a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, is pleased to introduce a new tribrid video recording platform able to support high-definition (HD) analog video in addition to all-IP and standard analog video channels.

The new March Networks 8724 V Tribrid Network Video Recorder (NVR) provides organizations with the custom combination of video capture they need right out of the box. It enables them to get sharp HD video using existing analog infrastructure, while avoiding the cost and disruption typically required to replace coaxial cable with Ethernet. Available in an innovative, space-saving wall mount, and delivering all the reliability and serviceability customers have come to expect from March Networks, the 8724 V Tribrid NVR makes it easy for retailers, financial institutions, school districts and other organizations to transition to an intelligent, HD video solution affordably and at their own pace.

The 8724 V Tribrid NVR's unique design uses analog power and Power over Ethernet (PoE) modules to support a variety of IP and HD analog video configurations, up to a maximum of 24 channels. For example, an organization could deploy the 8724 V to capture HD video from eight HD analog and 16 IP cameras at one location, and eight IP and 8 HD analog cameras at a second site. All camera licensing is included regardless of the configuration, making the recorder even more cost-effective.

"The 8724 V offers organizations a turnkey video solution for HD analog, IP and traditional analog video environments, along with innovative features that streamline implementation and maintenance for both customers and partners," said Net Payne, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, March Networks. "It gives organizations complete flexibility and choice as they move to a solution with superior video quality. In addition, the NVR's modular configuration and convenient form factor also make it an ideal recording engine for the quick service and fast casual markets as part of our new cloud-based Searchlight for QSR service."

Launched in July 2017, March Networks Searchlight™ for QSR powered by 360iQ is a powerful video and retail data analytics service for the quick service restaurant and fast casual markets. It provides franchise owners and managers with integrated loss prevention investigation capabilities and real-time business insights into sales and productivity numbers, best-selling products, labor reports and other operational data via an intuitive mobile app or a browser-based software client. The service eliminates upfront capital costs in favor of an affordable monthly fee, which can include the 8724 V Tribrid NVR for high-performance video capture.

To ensure reliability, the 8724 V incorporates a customized embedded Linux OS that eliminates unnecessary background services and frequent system updates. Other reliability features include diagnostic LEDs, an internal battery backup, and real-time system health monitoring via March Networks Command™ video management software. The recorder is also simple to maintain, thanks to unique QR codes that work with March Networks' free GURU Smartphone App to enable instant configuration audits, troubleshooting, warranty checks and other capabilities using a smartphone or tablet.

The 8724 V Tribrid NVR will be available for sale in mid-September, with HD analog support following shortly thereafter. March Networks will demonstrate the recorder and Searchlight for QSR powered by 360iQ as part of its complete intelligent IP video solutions in Booth 4522 at the ASIS International 2017 Expo, September 26-28, in Dallas, TX.
