Entersekt, an innovator in push-based authentication and app security, today announced the addition of industry veteran Sherif Samy as senior vice president for the company's North American operations. Samy's addition to the Entersekt team comes in support of the company's on-going expansion within the U.S. and Canadian markets, which includes the successful launch of new customers like Colorado-based FirstBank, as well as valuable new strategic partnerships with some of the leading names in financial services.

Operating out of Entersekt's North American headquarters in Atlanta, Samy will build out the regional team and manage new business development, as well as oversee regional field sales, project management, support, and solutions management services.

Boasting more than 15 years of experience within the financial space, Samy has attained a keen understanding of the fintech, payments, and cybersecurity sectors, both in the U.S. and abroad. His proven skills and industry expertise not only align seamlessly with Entersekt's global strategy, but will directly foster the company's growing success in the North American market. Prior to joining Entersekt, Samy was responsible for overseeing UL's North American Transaction Security business as the company's managing director, North America. In addition, Samy achieved great success during his time with Logica (later acquired by CGI), serving in a variety of roles including management consultant and senior manager of sales and business development in both the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

"This is an exciting time to be joining Entersekt, particularly in the United States, where there is so much we can offer now," said Samy. "Financial services providers in this highly competitive and increasingly disrupted market continue to manage demands for rich new functionality, convenience, usability, cost savings, and security as competing imperatives. Entersekt is very well positioned with its innovative and security driven product set to help in all these areas."

Samy received his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Cairo University. He, as well as other members of the Entersekt business development team, will be in attendance at Money20/20 in Las Vegas, October 22-25. Samy is available to discuss what attracted him to Entersekt and how the company can help businesses unlock the true potential of digital services channels.

"Mobile lies at the nexus of convenient customer service and digital identity," said Schalk Nolte, CEO of Entersekt. "Entersekt was the first company in the world to launch interactive transaction authentication using the mobile phone and today, we help protect tens of millions of online and mobile users in 45 countries, including the United States. We look forward to many new successes in North America with a man of Sherif's caliber leading the charge."
