Everything Everywhere is a mobile network operator and internet service provider formed in 2010 through the merger of UK mobile networks T-Mobile and Orange.

The new payment service, based on the NFC (Near Field Communications) technology which enables contactless transaction between devices, will reportedly offer consumers greater convenience as nearly 40,000 outlets in the UK have agreed to accept contactless payments.

The payment technology ensures that customers’ transactions and personal data remain protected, the companies said.

The companies have termed the new services as the biggest revolution in payments since credit cards were introduced in the UK 40 years ago.

Apple is also planning a similar service to be released later this year.
