The asset management firm has appointed Mark Bishoff as a director of Client Service in Canada. Based in Toronto, Bishoff will be responsible for managing Canadian institutional and sub-advisory client relationships.
Before Manulife, he worked at State Street Global Advisors (Canada), where he was responsible for business development, relationship management and sales and marketing efforts in Ontario.
Marcia Irwin has been named as director of Equity Product Management in the US. Based in Boston, she will work with US based equity investment teams on all aspects of product management, including the support of client facing teams in the communication and positioning of investment strategies with clients, prospects and consultants.
Irwin has more than 18 years of investment industry experience. She previously worked at Wellington Management in Boston and also at Morgan Stanley in their private wealth management group and held positions at Goldman Sachs, Banque Paribas and JP Morgan.
Gerry Morris has been appointed as director of Equity Product Management in Canada. Based in Toronto, he has a similar role to Irwin, but working with Canada-based equity investment teams.
Morris, who has over 15 years of investment industry experience, joined Manulife Asset Management from Dynamic Funds where he worked in product management for several years.
Les Young has been named director of Fixed Income Product Management in Canada. Based in Toronto, he will work with Canada-based fixed income investment teams.
Previously, Young worked as a manager for Manulife Asset Management’s marketing group, supporting portfolio management with the development of client marketing collateral. Before Manulife in 2008, he worked at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group in Toronto.
