Vollot will replace Alexander Schuetz, who held the position for the past five years. Schuetz has been appointed as international COO for the bank’s retail banking division.

In his new capacity, Vollot will be a member of Deutsche Bank’s MENA executive committee, and will chair the MENA operating committee. In addition, he will oversee the bank’s infrastructure functions across all businesses and legal entities.

Vollot previously held various roles within the Deutsche Bank group including Continental Europe head of Compliance and head of M&A Legal UK, before his appointment to his previous role as country COO for France in 2006.

Based in Dubai, Vollot will report to Ashok Aram, Deutsche Bank’s CEO for MENA, and Bill Woodley, global COO for regional management.

Aram said Philippe’s extensive experience will play a central role in supporting the implementation of the strategy that is focused on continued regional growth and the expansion of suite of products and services.
