Orc said the connectivity to Lime’s low-latency infrastructure will provide high frequency and other latency-sensitive traders with high-performance access to the US equities, options and futures markets.

Clients of both Orc and Lime will be able to take advantage of Lime’s infrastructure, built for high-frequency traders, and connect to numerous markets with one interface.

Orc’s trading platform will allow the clients to build and deploy their high-frequency trading strategies quickly and leverage their strategies from one market and instrument to another.

As part of the roll out, Orc will also be integrating Lime’s ultra-low latency Citrius market data into its trading platform.

Through this connectivity, traders will be able to use Orc’s connection to Lime Brokerage for deploying sophisticated trading strategies including spread trading, market making, volatility trading, and other advanced arbitrages.

Lime Brokerage director of operations John Jacobs said Orc is a great fit for Lime Brokerage. They have an automated trading platform that meets the needs of sophisticated traders.

Using Orc’s Liquidator server-based technology, firms can build their own strategies and deploy them into the market. Clients can also take advantage of trading solutions like Orc Spreader that help traders win more market opportunities.

Orc Software president, Americas Marty Leamy said that Lime Brokerage is a premier trading technology provider. Their market-leading low-latency trading infrastructure, built for high-frequency traders, is ideally suited to Orc’s client base.

"We look forward to working with Lime to deliver a powerful trading solution to the high-frequency trading community," Leamy said.
