Commenting on the announcement, Paul Edwards, Executive Chairman of EMP, said: "EMP is delighted to be working with JCBI as it expands its global range of cards into the Middle East and Africa. EMP has a broad network in the region, across all parts of the payment chain. This deep expertise allows us to provide a first-class service to merchants, card users and card issuers."

Hassan Mayassi, CEO of EMP Jordan, added: "Accepting payment cards attracts customers, increases sales, improves customer satisfaction and reduces cash costs. EMP’s partnership with JCBI will bring significant advantages for our merchant acquiring business, and will also allow us to offer customers in the region more benefits on card payments."
