Features of the new service includes checking account balances, locate ATMs, receive alerts, pay bills, transfer funds and deposit checks using camera-equipped smartphones, claims SDCCU.

SDCCU president and chief executive officer Teresa Halleck said the company offers the latest products and services to ensure SDCCU is a place where members can turn for all their financial needs.

"Our members expressed specific interest in upgraded mobile functionality, including text-based mobile banking and additional smartphone applications," Halleck said.

The company said that its mobile banking will be made available to members through all three major mobile access modes such as SMS (text messaging), mobile browser and downloadable applications for Android, iPhone and BlackBerry.

Consumers can also monitor their account and receive alerts by signing up the account.

Mobiliti integrates Corillian Online provided by Fiserv, which is a credit union’s online banking platform and the integration has been designed to provide a streamlined and consistent user experience across both the online and mobile channels.

SDCCU also provides Mobile Source Capture, a downloadable application for camera-equipped smartphones which assists consumers to securely take a picture of the front and back of a check and deposit the item electronically, without visiting the bank branch or ATM.
