In a major regional expansion, Citibank is opening seven retail branches – three in Yekaterinburg, two in Samara, one in Nizhny Novgorod and one in Rostov-on-Don. In each city, Citibank will now offer its full range of banking products and services designed to help clients to save, invest and borrow money.

Moreover, the bank has installed ATMs and financial centers with the ability to withdraw and disburse cash in these regions. All Citi clients also have access to a 24-hour banking service around the world by using CitiPhone.

George Awad, CEO of Citi’s consumer group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa commented: Russia is one of the major growth markets for Citi’s Global Consumer Group. We entered the market in 2002, and more than 400,000 clients in Russia are now doing business with us. Our goal is to win customers by offering them the best proposition in the market and by enabling customers to interact with us how, when and where they choose.

At present, Citibank serves over 400,000 retail and 1,500 corporate clients across Russia. It has issued more than 300,000 credit cards and its own distribution network consists of more than 60 retail branches and over 300 ATMs in the country.
