Sohos, joined Knight in 2000 and has been a member of the senior ETG management team since 2005.
Most recently, he led the quantitative teams responsible for executing all US and European client order flow.
Sohos will report to Thomas Joyce, chairman and CEO of Knight Capital Group.
Joyce said George has been an instrumental part of the growth and development of Knight’s Electronic Trading Group from the start.
"George has a thorough understanding of the role, ETG talent and Knight’s strategy. Under his direction, we plan to further expand client market making and principal trading activities across geographies and asset classes," Joyce said.
