Commenting on the strategic alliance with US payment services provider, Midflorida Credit Union senior vice president Michael Cheeseman said Western Union services will allow MIDFLORIDA members a reliable and convenient method of moving money from place to place and person to person.
"The addition of Western Union, and its broad suite of products and services, will allow our members to send and receive domestic or international money transfers or make urgent payments conveniently and quickly," Cheeseman added.
As per the agreement inked, MIDFLORIDA Credit Union members can send and receive domestic or international money transfers with funds accessible for pay out at more than 500,000 Western Union Agent locations in more than 200 countries and territories.
Western Union North America senior vice president and general manager Victoria López-Negrete said, "Through this agreement with Western Union, MIDFLORIDA Credit Union members will have the convenience, flexibility and first-rate customer service to move money across the United States and globally."
MIDFLORIDA serves more than 150,000 members with assets over $1.6bn through a network of more than 30 branches, 40 ATMs.
