The new branch is designed to meet the needs of Taiwan’s large multinational corporations and institutional investors, especially those with interests in Latin America.
It will offer services that include structured finance, commercial finance, syndicated loans, corporate finance and capital markets, among others.
Prior to Taipei branch, the bank has four branch offices in Asia in Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore and Tokyo.
In July 2011, BBVA had decided to upgrade its representative office in Taipei.
BBVA, established in 1857, has evolved into a global banking conglomerate with operations in over 30 countries.
