US-based Total System Services (Tsys) has said that it is providing comprehensive, end-to-end payment services to Netherlands-based credit card company, PaySquare.

Total System Services has said that the services enable Tsys to effectively manage and grow its merchant portfolio.

PaySquare began outsourcing payment processing operations to TSYS in October 2008, supporting MasterCard, Visa and Maestro card transactions through the Prime processing platform.

Gaylon Jowers, president of Tsys, said: PaySquare is Tsys’s first acquirer-processing client to go live in Europe and adds to our existing footprint in the U.S. and internationally. Tsys now offers an integrated European solution across the entire payments value chain, from issuing to acquiring, as well as the regulatory, compliance and value-added services crucial to those managing a cards portfolio.

Earlier Tsys has signed a multi-year payments processing agreement with Tarjetas Unisoluciones, a wholly owned subsidiary of Unibanco Brasil, for the launch of its Unicard Mexico consumer card portfolio in Mexico.

Tsys has said that the portfolio will be the first to utilise Tsys’s TS2 platform in Mexico. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Claudio Yamaguti, head of Unibanco’s expansion into Mexico, said: Tsys’s track record in the Mexican card market made it the obvious choice as our partner to grow our credit card business in Mexico. We feel that its premier technology and reputation for excellent customer service will help us achieve growth and profitability in our credit card portfolio.
