Approximately four Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) branch areas have been created to allow more speedy and accurate performance. Doha (East area) was divided into four areas, Al Fanar, Al Sadd and Al Mansoura branches. Manager of both this area and Al Fanar branch is Hassan Jifali.

The North area includes Al Gharafa, New Doha, Kharitiyat, Al Khor and Ras Lafan. Ibrahim Kaabi has been appointed as Al Gharafa branch and North area manager. Branches Salwa, Al Rayan, Mauither, industrial area and Dukhan comprise the West area.

Rahman Nabet is Salwa branch and West area manager. Airport, Al Wakra, Mesaieed, and C-Ring branches make up the South area overseen by Khaled Nouaimi, airport manager. Each manager is responsible for the performance of the branches in his area and meeting the demands and needs of these branches. Each area manager reports to QIB’s head of retail banking.

Amer Jabri, senior executive manager of branches at QIB, said: QIB’s strategic expansion plan details the opening of 11 new branches to reach its goal of 35 branches by 2012. This expansion will help streamline QIB’s further branch growth.
