The Western Union Company, a global money transfer services has named John Brennan as a vice president of business development, The Americas, focusing on the U.S. banking channel.

Stewart A. Stockdale, Executive Vice President and President, The Americas, Western Union, said: “Brennan comes with a solid 25 year track record in developing banking products and services in support of companies such as Dun & Bradstreet, First Data, Visa USA and Barclays Bank, while building strong relationships with top-tier banks, including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup, among others.

“With Brennan’s wealth of banking experience, Western Union will continue to aggressively build upon its North America banking strategy to better serve new consumer segments and build relationship with key banks to offer consumers more financial services options when it comes to sending money to family and friends in the U.S. or around the globe,” he added.

Mr. Brennan will report to Carter Hunt, senior vice president, strategic accounts and business development, The Americas.
