Citi’s Global Transaction Services business has launched ‘Advanced Pooling Solution’ (APS) with Netherlands-based TKP Investments and AEGON Global Pensions, to meet the needs of its investment managers and multinationals which are looking for an asset pooling solution. TKP Investments has been a key partner in the development.

Citi has reported that APS provides asset managers the ability to co-mingle their funds with common investment strategies, even though they may have different regulatory, fiscal, accounting or operational characteristics. It spans multiple products across the Citi’s Investor Services group; including fund accounting, custody, securities lending, performance measurement and compliance monitoring.

Bernard Hanratty, Investor Services, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Citi, said: “Our clients can use APS in the evolution of their business models to achieve an optimal balance of investment strategies, performance, product mix and distribution.”

Roelie van Wijk, CEO, TKP Investments, said: “This asset pooling platform allows AEGON Global Pensions to offer a multi-client cross-border asset pooling solution for the pension schemes of medium-sized multinationals that do not have the scale or resources to develop their own solution.”

Erik van Houwelingen, Chairman, AEGON Asset Management, said: “This will enable TKP to execute on its European growth strategy. We are very excited by this launch and the opportunities that this offers.”
