The service is best applicable for small screen devices such as smartphones.
Using the digital swipe feature, Visa Checkout customers can complete an online payment by sliding the virtual image of the credit, debit, or prepaid card with a button.
When the transaction goes ahead, an image of the card will appear on the screen of the device with a Visa Checkout button.
The customer should then swipe the image and give the password or the pin code in the button to confirm the transaction.
Visa digital solutions senior vice president Sam Shrauger said: "Visa Checkout’s new interactive button is yet another way we are designing the future of online checkout and delivering on our promise to bring the simplicity of the swipe to any device.
"This new experience brings digital payments one step closer to the ease, trust and familiarity that consumers have long valued from Visa in the physical world."
The interactive button is available to merchants across segments to allow the digital swipe feature in their online payment for buying music, movies and airline tickets.
The company said it will extend the interactive button functionality to Visa Checkout merchants who ship goods in the coming months.
Visa had introduced Visa Checkout Lightbox in 2014, a service that allows online traction from within the mobile app.
The company said more than 11 million consumer accounts are currently connected to Visa Checkout.
