CSC has signed an information technology outsourcing services renewal contract with Henry Ford Health System. The new five-year, three-month agreement has an estimated contract value of $115m.

Under the extension that runs through 2014, the company will continue to provide all applications development and support services, including more than 200 applications covering clinical, departmental, revenue cycle and PeopleSoft ERP.

CSC said that these services support everyday operations and large strategic initiatives, including development of an enhanced electronic medical record program and remediation of more than 50 application systems for the new 300-bed West Bloomfield Hospital.

Vivek Chopra, president of applications and technology services group of CSC, said: Henry Ford provides world-class medical care, and we enable them to focus on their patients by managing their technology and processes in ways that deliver on their strategic goals. We understand their objectives, provide the right tools and work together as ‘OneIT’ to not just react, but anticipate the regulatory and medical environment of tomorrow.

CSC has won the original five-year contract in December 2000, which was extended through March 2009 in 2004 with the scope expanded to include additional services.
