Chase has launched 233 bank branches and more than 440 ATMs in Florida, following a $92 million investment in upgrading and remodeling. That brings the Chase network in Florida to 239 branches and 1,025 ATMs.

Chase said that it has also upgraded products and technology to link former Washington Mutual branches in Florida and six other states to Chase branches, giving customers full service at any of 4,200 Chase branches in 21 states.

George Acevedo, head of retail banking for Chase in South Florida, said: We welcome these customers officially to Chase, even though we have been serving them since September. We look forward to helping them manage their money and deepening our relationships with our customers and the community.

JPMorgan Chase acquired the banking operations of Washington Mutual from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in September 2008.
