Al Rajhi Bank, a Saudi Arabia-based Islamic banking group, has formed a strategic partnership with Pos Malaysia Berhad to provide a channel for customers to pay their bills and perform other transactions through PosOnline and its internet banking website Al Rajhi @ 24 seven.
Reportedly, Al Rajhi Bank’s internet banking site offers online statements of all accounts for customers to see and print statements of their deposit. This partnership is expected to enable Al Rajhi’s customers an added channel to pay their bills and perform other transactions through both Al Rajhi 24 seven and PosOnline, Pos Malaysia’s online transaction portal.
Sabry Ghouse, director of retail banking at Al Rajhi Bank, said: “Bearing in mind that 60% of Malaysians have easy access to the internet with total net penetration of around 16 million, Al Rajhi will be launching our WAP banking facilities where Al Rajhi @ 24 seven will also be accessible. This will be realised in the next months, making banking available to our customers not only at their finger tips but also 24 seven.”
