Credit Suisse has appointed Michael Ingelog as new CEO of the Nordic Region. Mr Ingelog will report to Eric Varvel, CEO of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and joins in January 2010.

Mr Ingelog will initially be based in London and relocate to the Nordic region over time. Moreover, he will be a member of the EMEA operating committee. As CEO of the Nordic region, he will be responsible for Credit Suisse’s business in the Nordic region across private banking, investment banking and asset management divisions.

This newly created role is expected to facilitate the execution of Credit Suisse’s integrated bank strategy in the region, to deliver the group’s expertise for the benefits of its clients.

Michael Ingelog joins Credit Suisse from Deutsche Bank, where he was a managing director and head of institutional client group for Nordic and the Netherlands. He was responsible for sales and trading across all asset classes in to the Nordic region and for sales into Holland.
